Pasco County gets its name from Samuel
Pasco. Born in London in 1834, Samuel Pasco immigrated
to the United States with his parents when he was 7. From
there, he became a Harvard University graduate, a Civil
War hero, a lawyer, and a U.S. Senator representing Florida.
Today, almost half a million people live and work in his
namesake Pasco County. Over the years, Pasco County has
consistently been one of the fastest growing areas in
Florida.
